Chapter 1: The Procyon's Light is Fading!

The year 2014 is the year where a lot of dreams of every children in the world. Where do they wish? Usually they wish to the stars. Why is my title ‘Procyon’? Because it’s the brightest star to exist and a lot of hopes and dreams are there.

But something happened to this star. The darkness took over.

“MUAHAHAHA” a laugh from the darkness came. He’s going to take the dreams one by one. “NOW NO ONE WILL HAVE DREAMS MUAHAHAHA” said the ‘Ten Voice’. But before he took all the light of the procyon, 11 small shine of hope and a small part of the Procyon got separated… and one of them is shaped like… a dog?

The dog went to earth to find 10 hopes. Since he’s very young and new in this world, but he remembered that he has to find a someone from his world of procyon first. And that person is Dr. Kashiwagi.

“SAE KUN!!!” screamed the dog… yeah, he can talk.

“Hee? Rii-kun? Long time no see! How did you get here? What happen?” asked the person that the dog called Kashiwagi.

“It’s… the procyon…” after hearing those words, Kashiwagi quickly took the dog and went to the lab.

“It’s fading isn’t it?” asked Kashiwagi.

“Un… 11 stars got out from the procyon including me. And those are our only hope.”

“ Where are we going to find them?” said Dr Kashiwagi.

-Tokyo Gakuin-

“WASSOI TKY!!” screamed a group of band.

“Uwaaa… sugoi desu!” said a girl in her heart. She really enjoyed the music. She wanted attention and she wanted people to notice her. Well, she is pretty popular among her friends because she’s very kind and funny and loves to tease her friends. But she wanted people to know her for what she does.

Anyway… her name is Kitagawa Ryoha, but people calls her Uha. The school bell rang and she went home as usual. She really adore Wasshoi TKY because of their friendship and music.

She sighed on the way home. And suddenly…

She fell/? Yeah, something hit her from above. What happen? Noting bleeds. She didn't feel any hurt. She stood up and cleaned herself. But she got shocked of what’s on her hand. There was a small star tattoo on her right palms.

“Hee… nani kore?” she went home and tried to clean the tattoo. But it’s already attached to her hand. She’s even more confused now… Then she decided to just go and sleep and didn’t care about the star.

A weird thing happened on the next day. She felt healthier. Her arms were strong… too strong. When she opened the door it got broken.

“Hee, what’s wrong with me?” she thought. She tried carefully to open and close the door.

She didn't get tired as usual as she walks to school. She even helped the teacher to take the heavy equipment, and this was very weird.

On her dance class, she felt more alive and stronger, she even accidentally step really hard that made one of the floors broken. She looked at her hand and thought…

“Did something happen to me?” asked Uha to herself.

--After school—

This is such a weird day…

Does this have something to do with yesterday?

“The star detector is coming from here!” said Dr. Kashiwagi.

“Where?? Where??” asked Riikun.

“Here! Her!!” said Dr. Kashiwagi.

“Where?”

“There!!”

Uha was shock watching a doctor and a dog doing a conversation.

“Ehem… Sorry, but let me introduce myself first. I’m Dr. Kashiwagi Yuki, can we ask a view question?

“Yukirin, you’re scaring her!” said the dog. Uha’s eyes went wide.

“She’s scared because there’s a talking dog!” and the argument went on and on.

“STOP!” screamed Uha. “What’s happening here?”

“Miss, did anything happen to you these view days?”

“Y-yes… something fell yesterday.” Answered Uha

“Is it perhaps a star?”

Uha looked at her hand and looked back at dr. Kashiwagi. “I think it is.”

“Can we look at you hand?” asked Riikun the little dog.

“Um… sure…”

“I KNEW IT! SHE’S THE FIRST STAR!” screamed the little dog. And Uha can only stay there in shocked because a dog just talked again.

“Can you come with us and if you don’t mind we would like to examine you.” Said Dr. Kashiwagi.

“HEE??” she was shock because it sounded weird.

“No… I mean… eh… Do you feel like you’re having weird powers?” asked Dr. Kashiwagi.

“Well, yes… a bit…” she answered.

 “Exactly, miss… you’re our only hope, you need to come with us and train your powers.” Said Dr. Kashiwagi.

“Hope?”

“We’ll explain on the way there.” said Rii-kun

--The lab—

Uha couldn’t do anything but just to follow them because she was also curious with what she could do.

“First, we’re going to know what your power is.” Said Dr. Kashiwagi. Uha was already in a sport wear. “Let’s see what you can do…”

She was attacked by a lot of tennis ball. “KYAA!!” screamed Uha. She keeps avoiding until one ball was going to hit her. She than hit the ball back… really hard… even the ball was ruined.

“Whoa…” said Riikun.

“Let’s stop the machine…” said Dr. Kashiwagi. “Kitagawa-san here’s some weight, could you try and carry these?” It was a 50kg weight.

“Uhm… are you sure?” asked Uha.

“Yes, just try…”

She took the weight…

“Are? It’s not that heavy, are you sure this is 50Kg?”

“Yes, I’m very sure… your power is super strength.” Said Dr.Kashiwagi.

“UWAA!! YATTA!!” she screamed and let go of the weight and it fell on Dr.Kashiwagi’s Foot.

“ITTAI!”

“Hee, gomenasai!” she took it again, she didn’t know why but it felt happy to know her powers.

“There’s one… 9 to go T_T” said Dr. Kashiwagi.

“Nine?”

“Yes, so the procyon is in danger and there are 11 stars that sent to earth. One is me, and the rest are still on research. Each star consist a powers that can help us. So please… we need your help Uha-chan.” Said Riikun.

“That is true, and those 9 stars could be anywhere near you. Stars may spread but it always fell on some close point. So, have some watch out.” Said Dr. Kashiwagi.

“Wait, I’m afraid if I couldn’t control my powers. I’ve been breaking things.” She said.

“That’s why we told you to come with us. Here, wear this every day.” Dr. Kashiwagi gave Uha a purple hand band. It was oversized at first but then her hand fits perfectly. “It’ll hold your powers. Watch out for darkness around you, and search for the other 9 stars.”

“H-ha’i…” answered Uha.

A boy was running really fast after getting down from a Taxi. Why I actually don’t know. LOL :’v

Hey, I’m Aiba Kensui. 21 years old. You guys, and the writer are probably confused why am I running right now? Well, to be true, I’m also confused. My body just told me to run. Where? I’m at Osaka’s shinkanzen station, chasing someone. And this is not the first time I’ve done this.

“MAKI!!!!!!!” screamed the boy.

Let’s just flashback a bit, you want to know who Maki is right?

Osaka, 2008

“Maki-chan~” said Kensui. Or people call him Kenchan.

“Kensui-Senpai, please stop following me, your fangirls are attacking me with scary letters and glares.” Said a short girl who’s 3 years younger than the boy next to her. She’s very smart that she’s in the year with older friends. The only 1^st year that’s from the 93lines. That’s why she can walk with Kensui in school

“But… I promise I’ll protect you. And I want to walk with you. And stop calling me senpai, what happen to ‘Kensui-kun’?”

“Again, I don’t want to mess with those scary girls. Please senpai, stay away from me if we’re in school. We can go home together then.” Said the girl.

Yeah, this is Maki-chan the girl I was talking about. But this year was too early, go back a bit.

Osaka, 2002

A girl was crying at a playground because she was bullied by some bad boys. Those boys pushed her and she fell with some bruises on her feet, the boys keep bullying her until a guy came.

“Oi! Why don’t you pick on someone your own size?” the boy was a little bit taller than the bullies, which make him the ‘senpai’. “We can always do it the easy way, or the hard way…” said the boy. He took out a phone. “I’m one of the trusted students in this school. You want me to call your parents, or just say sorry to the girl, and NEVER touch her again.” of course the bullies were frighten… they’re still in elementary school.

“Se-senpai… gomenasai!” they bowed down to the floor asking for forgiveness.

“Don’t say sorry to me, say sorry to her.” as the boy said, the bullies bowed down to the girl. And because of her kindness, she forgave them. As the bullies went away, the boy came to the girl.

“Daijobu desu ka?” asked the boy. “Your feet, it must’ve hurt.” The girl just shook her head, but the boy bent down. “Get on me, I’ll carry you to the nurse’s office.” The girl just rode on the boy. “If you’re in any trouble, just call me.” he said as he patted her head in the nurse’s office.

“A-ano… senpai…” the girl finally spoke.

“Hmm?”

“A-arigatou…”

“It’s nothing… and don’t call me senpai, you can always call me Kensui-kun. I’m Kensui by the way, Aiba Kensui desu…”

“Fukumi… Maki… desu.” As she said that, they became close friends.

Osaka, 2005

“Ah- it’s raining…” said Kensui looking out of the window of the class. It was raining really hard with thunders everywhere. Then he thought of something “Chotto… Maki…” as he remembered, he ran to the school’s field. No one was there. He ran and ran searching for the girl. He then went to the baseball stockroom. They were so close that made Kensui knows everything about Maki. He knows that today was maki’s shift to clean up the equipment for baseball. Yes, she likes baseball.

“Maki!! Maki-chan?” screamed Kensui.

“K-kensui kun!” a voice made Kensui’s heart skipped a beat. He ran towards the girl.

“Daijobu desuka?” asked Kensui.

“Un…” just then, a thunder attacked and made Maki quickly hugged Kensui. The thing is… Maki’s afraid of thunder. Kensui took of his jacket and put it around Maki who was still using her baseball uniform. And he hugged her.

Osaka, 2008

Now you guys know a lot about this girl right? Hehe, the thing is, I like her. More than just a friend, more than just a sister.

“Maki-chan~” said Kensui outside the school. They always went home together. The thing is, in highschool, Maki is colder. Those view days were Maki’s saddest moments. A lot of Kensui’s “fangirls” kept warning her to leave Kenchan. But of course she couldn’t do that. She’s very close with Kensui. The only thing she could do was ‘pretend’.

“Kensui Senpa-… Kensui kun!” said Maki smiling. She was smiling because she felt save when it comes to going home from school. “Ano... sorry, I can’t be close to you at school like usual.”

“Daijobu, I know it must’ve been those girls right?”

“Plus, I can’t face them, they’re senpais…”

“… Gomenasai. Hontouni gomenasai.” Said Kensui. “I can’t keep my promise to protect you.”

Maki hit his hand. “I-ttai! What was that for?” asked Kensui.

“You keep saying that, but you never remembered how we met, how you protect me all this time. You’re like a brother to me.” it was hard for Maki to say that because to Maki, Kensui is more than a brother. But she doesn’t know how to express it yet.

“Hmm, sou desu ka…” said Kensui. He was also sad. These two liked each other but very shy to express it. “But… I don’t like it when you pretend.”

“But, it’s the only thing I can do.”

-The Next day-

Maki was walking to school together with Kensui. And as usual after they entered the gate, they became strangers. Kensui looked at Maki from behind, wishing that he would walk with her. Than he thought of an idea, it’s kind of risky but he just does it. He came to Maki, and he put his arms around her.

“MAKI-CHAAN~” he screams and put his arms around Maki that made everyone looked at him. He’s attracting attentions. “You want to eat with me today? Like usual?” he said in a loud voice that made some girls sending more glares to Maki. “You hear me? Maki is my friend, we’re very close! If anyone tries to come and hurt her, especially you” he said pointing at a girl who has been sending Kensui love letters and hate letters to Maki. “I will not forgive you. I will do anything to get my revenge for those who hurt her, either you’re a girl or a boy, I don’t care.” He said with his hand still around Maki’s waist.

“Senpa-“

“And you, I don’t want to hear any senpai starting now.” Said Kensui. Maki smiled at him.

“Un! Kensui-kun!” they smiled.

This was making Maki’s live of school more miserable.

Osaka, 2009

After Kensui-kun’s graduation, my life in this school is even worse. – Maki

“There’s no more ‘Kensui-kun’ to help you now.” Said one of Kenchan’s fangirls then poured water on Maki.

She was crying. She was sad. Not because of those bullies, but because they said Kensui. She missed him. They rarely met him because of his work at his University. She went to the Health unit to heal her bruise and ask for something to change into.

“Renji-sensei?” asked Maki.

“Ah- Maki! Chotto… why are you wet? Did those girls bullied you again?” asked Renji. Maki looked down and Renji quickly took a sport wear for Maki to change. Renji also took the 1^st aid kit to heal her bruises.

“It’s usual like this if you’re close with someone who’s popular. This happened to me once.” Renji smiled and it made Maki shocked.

“Ee? You were popular too?” asked Maki.

“I have one… only one fangirl, and one love. It’s unexpected. But when you love someone it can’t be helped.”

“Sou… de- OUCH!”

“Ah- gomen.”

Maki couldn’t handle the pain anymore. One day, Kensui made a surprise visit to Maki’s school.

“Hey… miss me?” a voice made Maki look up when walking home.

“KENSUI KUN!!” she ran and jump to Kensui.

“So… how was your school?”

“Uhm… good!” she lied.

“Sou desuka? Yokatta nee~” said Kensui smiling and kept walking. They stopped at one of the famous takoyaki shops.

“Kensui-kun? How was college?” asked Maki.

“It’s super hard~~” said Kensui like a little boy. “Nee, Maki-chan. Can you do one thing for me in your highschool life?”

“Hee? What is it?”

“Do your best, and never missed a chance. I didn’t take scholarship to Tokyo University, and I felt wrong. Well, it’s not that I want you to go there. I don’t want to be separated with you. But I just don’t want you to regret.”

“Ha’i!” said Maki smiling.

From that day she promised that she would study hard.

Osaka, 2010

“The list of the scholarship test is out!”

Maki ran towards the board.

She got first place. Scholarship to Tokyo University.

How am I going to tell Kensui-kun…

Osaka, September 8 2011

“Otanjoubi omedetou Maki-chan!!” said Kensui. Since today is a very special day. Kensui decided to take Maki around Osaka. Feeling the cold Japan in September, eating some takoyaki.

“Maki-chan… Will you promise to not leave me?” asked Kensui. This word make her heart ache.

“… Un! Wherever I am, anyplace anytime… Just look to the sky. We’ll still look at the same sky.” Said Maki.

“And if you ever feel sad, just close your eyes and feel the wind. It means I’m there to see you. We’ll always be together.” Said Kensui smiling at Maki.

“So… you’re saying that you’re not a human but, a wind? HAHAHA” she laugh.

“Hey! It’s not like that, it’s just… uh forget it” said Kensui. Then Maki hugged him.

“I know what you mean… Kyou wa Arigatou.”

Osaka, Desember 2011

I can’t wait to meet Maki on this day. She promised me that we’ll meet at the park. She’s been very late. I keep looking around and no signs of her.

“Eh-? Renji-sensei? How are you?” asked Kensui.

“Hey Kensui, it’s been a while.”

“You’re still a health unit there?” asked Kensui.

“Yeah… and by the way, I’ve got something for you.” Renji handed him a letter.

Dear Aiba Kensui,

It’s Maki~ haha! I don’t know how to say this but… thank you, for all this time, you keep protecting me, you keep motivating me. I missed you a lot when you graduated. I felt empty every time we got separated. Back at my birthday… you said that we’ll always be together right? You’ll be the wind, and we’ll look to the same sky…

I got a scholarship to Tokyo University. I got motivated by you. Thank you.

-Fukumi Maki-

“She’s on her way to the train station, go and run after her.” said Renji. Kensui nodded and ran quickly.

-NP: Kaze ni Notte- (?)

He took a taxi and went to the bus station. He ran really fast.

Now you know why I’m running right? It’s a super long story to explain until this position.

“MAKIIIII!!!!” screamed Kensui. Maki looked back.

“K-kensui kun…”

Kensui ran and hugged her.

“How dare you didn’t tell me?” his tears started to fell. Maki hugged him back. “It’s not fair, I was the one who supposed to tell you first.”

“Hee? Tell what?” asked Maki.

“Aishiteru…” said Kensui as he kissed her. (awww kicchu :3)

“I will not say good bye, we’ll meet again, definitely! And Merry christmas” said Maki as her tears fell and smiled. Then she walked away from Kensui and rode her train. Kensui ran as the train started and waved at Maki.

Tokyo, 2014

Maki was sitting at a coffee shop at Ginza with her laptop on. She was working on a project.

“Excuse me, my lady… is this seat taken?” asked a male voice. Maki looked up and couldn’t believe what she sees…

“K-ken-kensui…-kun…” she said.

“Miss me?” Kensui smiled. He was wearing an employee suit and Maki stood up to hugged him.

“I knew we meet again! What are you doing here?” asked Maki.

“Enjoying the sunset… while applying my new job in Tokyo~” said Kensui.

“Ch-chotto… you’re going to stay here?” asked Maki.

“It won’t be as fun as Osaka, but at least I get to see my girlfriend.”

“… Who said we’re already together?” asked Maki in a straight face which make Kensui shocked and shy. “Just kidding!” she hugged him again. “You need to tell me a lot of your stories!” said Maki and they both enjoyed the sunset in Tokyo.
